COVID-19 continues to appear in the Algoma District and is accelerating across Canada and Ontario.
Mayor Blaine Mersereau and Council is today, issuing a strong message to all residents that they must strictly adhere to the public health guidelines.
Build Community Immunity.
The Township of Johnson would like to advise the public that we are going to maintain operations and will continue to offer Building and Planning services in accordance with our local and Provincial requirements. Effective today, March 24, 2020, our Building & Planning Services will use temporary service measures that will provide options for the public to allow a modified process for drop off or electronic submission of Building Permit & Planning Applications.

In order to increase protections to the health and security of our staff, residents and visitors during this time. The Township of Johnson will be limiting access to the Johnson / Tarbutt Joint Landfill.
Today, we are announcing additional measures that are being taken by the Township to protect all against the spread of this virus. On behalf of Mayor, Council and the staff at the Township of Johnson, please take care of yourselves and your families.
The Township of Johnson will continue to look to Algoma Public Health for direction on the COVID 19 outbreak. We are being told that there are no confirmed cases in Algoma.
