2025 Curtis Ford & Jocelyne Stevens Memorial Family Hockey Tournament

The annual Family Tournament will be taking place on, February 14-16, 2025.

About the Tournament:

The Family Tournament has been held in Desbarats for over 27 years honoring the legacy and memory of two local students Curtis Ford and Jocelyne Stevens, both students of CASS who lost their lives too early. As active members of sport and community the funds gathered go towards the Johnson Township Recreation Volunteer Award for a graduating CASS and CAES student. To be awarded to a student who displays commitment to community recreation and sport through volunteerism.

To honor their memory the games begin with 1 less player to acknowledge the lost players. After the first whistle, gameplay resumes with a full team. Tournament details are as follows:

  • $500 Team Entry Fee for Competitive Division
  • $250 Team Entry Fee for 3-on-3 Divisions
  • The Johnson Township Community Centre Hall will be open during the Tournament and for after-Tournament Festivities.
  • Copper Bean Canteen will be open during the tournament. Providing a donation towards the scholarship after the days sales.
  • Bar Service will be provided Saturday starting at 12pm. Providing a donation towards the scholarship after the days sales.
  • Saturday Evening will also see an after party including, karaoke, and dancing.

Team Rep/Captain:

As a team rep you will be the point of contact between the tournament organizers and your team. You are taking on the responsibility to build your team, collect your team fees, and communicate any schedule changes or game cancellations. You will receive an email with the schedule the week of February 10, 2025.

I understand that any information collected on this form will be used for the Recreation Program only and will not be passed on to any third parties. I hereby, for myself, my team members, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against the Townships of Johnson and its representatives, successors and assigns for any and all injuries suffered by myself or any member of my team as part of the 2025 CU-JO Memorial Family Hockey Tournament.
