Big Buck Awards Supper 2017- a big success again!

BIG BUCK CONTEST AWARDS SUPPER was held on Nov. 19 with approximately 100 people attending the supper and the awards presentation. Sixty-two hunters had registered for the contest, and 16 racks were brought in with top 3 rack awards going to Brandon Trotter, Nolan Parker (Our youth hunter winner as well), and Alain Labelle. We had wonderful support from the Business Community, and everyone went home with a prize. Besides a fun local event, we raised about $300. Much thanks goes to our Big Buck Volunteers who help with registrations and securing draw prizes: Cory Moore, Terry Barber, Cheryl Larrett, and Zahida Croskery.  Also to local businesses McClelland’s and 17E Trading Post for helping out with registrations and ticket sales; to Cheryl Larrett for a great meal; and to the Bruce Mines Legion, Branch 211, who provided bar service. Over 35 area businesses donated to the event. We have mailed thank you letters to all our business supporters.
