The Corporation of the Township of Johnson: Sale of Surplus Property

In accordance with By-Law 2025-1152, being a by-law regarding the sale or disposition of municipal property, Notice is hereby given that the Corporation of the Township of Johnson has passed a resolution at their October 15, 2025 Council meeting to declare several properties surplus and listed for sale:

  1. Roll Number 5716 000 002 03616 0000 Carter Side Rd, Plan 1M536 Pt Lot 10 RP 1R13631 Pt 2, Zoning is RR Rural Residential, 7.25 Acres.
  2. Roll Number 5716 000 0001 00700 0000 Gordon Lake Rd, Con 6, Lot 4 Spt, Zoning is A-2 Agriculture, 1 acre (264 feet frontage and 165 feet depth).
  3. Roll Number 5716 000 004 16602 0000 Margaret Street, Plan 1106, RP 1R13926 Part 1, Zoning is MR Multi Residential, with ZBA to permit a greater potential use of the property, 3.3 Acres, Frontage 543.83 feet.

The properties will be offered for sale until 12:00 PM, November 13th, 2025

Bid opening will take place on November 19th, 2025, at a regular Council meeting at 1 Johnson Drive, Desbarats, ON, P0R 1E0.

Maps are available for viewing at the Municipal Office or by request.

Sealed bids are to be clearly marked:  Surplus Lot for Sale and forwarded to the Municipal Office located at 1 Johnson Drive, Desbarats, ON, P0R 1E0.

The successful bidder will be responsible for their own legal fees and disbursements, and those of the municipality related to the purchase and sale of the property.
