15th Annual Big Buck Contest Registration Closing Soon!
Do you feel that crisp air? Hunting season is almost upon us and it is time to register for the 15th Annual Johnson Township Big Buck Contest. Registration is open September 1 – 30 2022.
As a registered hunter you have the chance to win bragging rights for the biggest buck AND the grand prize of $300. Didn’t snag the big guy? Not to worry all hunters who register will win a prize. With the youth category, every member of the family has a chance to win big!
Hunters can register online, or at the 17E Trading Post, Perry’s Gun Shop, Tunnel Lake Trading Post, Hunter’s Headquarters, McClelland’s Hardware & Feed, or with Terry Barber, or Cory Moore.
After you snag your winning buck, join us on Sunday, November 20th at the Johnson Township Community Centre for the Awards Ceremony. Measuring of the racks will take place from 4pm-5:30pm with an all-you-can-eat Roast Chicken Dinner at 6pm. Bar will open at 4pm. Followed by the announcement of the winners and prize draws.
All entries must be submitted with the tag attached and must come from WMU’s within the Algoma Region or 21B, 22, 23, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, or 45. *Some exceptions may apply for hunters who do not need tags to participate in the hunt.
Registration & Dinner is $35.00, Join your hunter for dinner for $20.00, and bring the kids 12 and under for $10.00.
