Johnson Township Adult Recreational Hockey League (JTARHL) 2021-2022 Season

That cool breeze in the air can only mean one thing? It must be Hockey Season!

We are thrilled to announce the return of the Johnson Township Adult Recreational Hockey League (JTARHL) for the 2021-2022 season. Registration is now open for teams or individuals interested in playing. Women are welcome and encouraged to play.

League play will begin Monday, November 8th at 8pm. The season will wrap up on Monday, February 28, 2021 with playoffs running in March.

Games will be Mondays at 8pm and 9pm and Thursday’s at 7:30pm and 8:30pm Each game will run for 1 hour.

The cost per team if we have 6 teams is $4,320 or $360 per player on a team of 12. 50% of registration fees must be paid before your team will be scheduled to play.

An all reps meeting will be held in person at the Johnson Township Community Centre on Monday October 18th at 7:30pm, any interested team reps are strongly encouraged to attend.

All Algoma Public Health and Provincial Covid-19 guidelines will be followed. This includes presenting a Proof of Vaccination Passport to enter the arena as a player or a spectator. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this pandemic and the evolving regulations.

Are you signing up as a Team Rep or an Individual Player?

Individual Player

As an individual player you will be placed on a waiting list for teams who are looking for another player. There is no guarantee we will find you a team but we will do our very best to connect you with a Team Rep looking for another player. You will receive an email with a liability waiver shortly, please sign and return this waiver.

Team Reps

As a team rep you are taking on the responsibility to register all of your players, collect your team fees, and be the point of contact for the Recreational Coordinator for schedule changes and game cancellations. Each team will be charged $4,320 for a team of 12 this works out to $360 per player. Payments can be made in person at the Township office or through an etransfer to payments@johnsontownship.ca 50% of team fees must be collected by Monday, November 8, 2021. Your team will not be scheduled to play until all fees are received. Team Reps are invited to attend a reps meeting on Monday October 18th at the Johnson Township Community Centre. Pre-season ice time will take place on Monday, November 1, from 8pm-10pm and Thursday November 4, from 7:30pm-9:30pm. Team rosters and payments can be dropped off on either of these nights. All Algoma Public Health and Provincial Covid-19 guidelines will be followed. This includes presenting a Proof of Vaccination Passport to enter the arena as a player or a spectator. You will receive an email with the roster registration sheet shortly. Please complete the sheet and gather all your player's signatures. Looking forward to a great season!
