Community Night Drive-by Parade, July 24th

Annually, Johnson Township Recreation holds an event to celebrate our wonderful community TOGETHER. This year, due to the Pandemic and restrictions on large gatherings, it takes form as  a Community Night Drive-By Parade, with the theme: CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Featuring Float, Home, and Costume Prizes including the ERLING LAGERHOLM AWARD FOR BEST THEME FLOAT – FIRST PRIZE $150  –  SECOND PRIZE $75

Plus One Prize For Each Class in : Commercial/ Antique Vehicle/ Adult Organization/ Antique Tractor/ Community Groups/ Youth Organization/ Decorated Car-Truck/ Comical/ Farm Float/ Decorated Home/Decorated Tricycle/Most Holiday Spirit/Santa’s Sleigh/ Winter Scene plus Costume awards for Santa’s Helper, Best Dressed Santa, and Festive Family

Here’s how it works!

Registered entries will assemble along Lake Huron Dr., from the Fire Department to Government Rd. so the public can view floats and participants from the safety of their own cars!

We welcome you and your family to join along in the community and Christmas spirit on Saturday, July 24th, at 6:00pm.

This fun community event is sponsored by Johnson Township Recreation. Be sure to register no later than Friday, July 16th.

Algoma Public Health guidelines will be followed. Masking and physical distancing will be required and public is encouraged to follow these rules and limit personal interaction. Guidelines will be posted prior to and at the Parade
