Interim Tax Due Date Deferral

On April 21, 2020, Council passed bylaw 2020-968.  The bylaw amends the next interim tax date from May 20, 2020 to August 31, 2020.  It is Council’s hope that this deferral of the next tax payment date will assist those that need financial help during COVID-19.

Council Meetings

Council and Committee of the Whole Meetings have now returned to their normal schedule but will be held electronically.  The next Committee of the Whole meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 with the Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.  Meetings start at 5:30 p.m.

It is the intention of the Township of Johnson to hold all meetings as electronic meetings until such time as the Provincial Emergency Order is lifted.

The electronic meetings will be held through Zoom Video Conferencing.  Please watch our website for the link for each meeting. All meeting agendas will continue to be posted as they have been in the past.

Community Gardens

The Province of Ontario has issued an amendment to O. Reg 104/20 that now allows the use of allotment or community gardens.  If you participate in such an arrangement please ensure you practice physical distancing and don’t gather in groups of more than five (5).
